Romeo's Story

Meet Romeo
Romeo is a big lover boy and sweetheart, ready to find his forever family to give all his love to.

About Romeo:
Age: About 2-3 years
Personality: Affectionate, sweet, feisty at times, and loving.
Likes: Being picked up like a baby, exploring, and laying beside you.
Special Talents: Ultimate biscuit maker, chatty especially when hungry, and gives loving headbutts when being held.

Romeo's Story:

Romeo first appeared outside a feeder’s home around May and was most likely dumped from his previous home. He was trapped, neutered, and put back outside. Romeo continued to return to the feeder’s home for meals, and despite being left behind, he never lost his gentle spirit or his desire to be loved. He simply needed time to regain trust and confidence in humans to show his sweet side—a silent lover boy.
As the harsh winter approached, sweet Romeo would cry and plead to come inside, demonstrating that he was ready for indoor life again. Luckily, a foster was found, and during his first days indoors, Romeo couldn’t have been more grateful. When carried, he would melt and bury his face into his foster’s chest.
Life on the streets was never meant for a boy like Romeo. Don’t let his size fool you—he’s an absolute sweetheart, just waiting for a second chance and a promise that he’ll never be left behind again by his forever home.

*We only adopt to homes within New Jersey and require that adopters live approximately within one hour of our two home bases in North Bergen and Florham Park. While travel time is a general guideline, applications may still be denied if the distance in miles is too far, even if technically within an hour, due to limitations in transport and post-adoption support.
