Rocky Racoon's Story
Meet Rocky Raccoon - The Sweet and Playful Big Boy!

Rocky Raccoon is a loving 7-year-old boy who was surrendered to MWHS and is now ready to find his fur-ever home. As you'll quickly notice, this good boy has a few extra pounds. While his size may seem adorable, he needs someone who can commit to helping him on his weight loss journey. When he arrived, he had several mats around his back end because he could no longer reach to clean himself. Despite this, Rocky is surprisingly playful and agile, enjoying several play sessions a day and climbing across couches, chairs, desks, tables, and even windowsills!

Since moving into his foster home, Rocky has shown just how sweet and affectionate he can be. Once comfortable with you and his environment, he will seek out pets and enjoys being petted all over. He has even been known to welcome a small amount of belly rubs. He'll do best with someone cat-savvy who can give him plenty of play and attention, while also understanding when he needs his own space.

Rocky seems content around other cats, though he hasn't shown strong interest in forming close friendships with them. He could also be happy as the only cat in the home. We don't yet know how he would feel about dogs. Rocky also enjoys short rounds of brushing, especially on his back half, and isn't shy about letting you know when he's had enough.

Rocky is looking for a home with someone who can dedicate time for play, help him maintain a healthy weight, and provide patience, love, and understanding. He's ready to thrive with the right person who appreciates his sweet, playful personality.

As we are closed to the public, adoptions are by appointment only.
