Rocky's Story
Meet Rocky! He’s an old soul in a young body. He was born in the summer of 2025 and is small for his age. He prefers pets and cuddles to playing with toys. If you’re looking for a low key, quiet companion, Rocky’s your guy. And he has moody eyes like his namesake, Rocky aka Sylvester Stallone. Rocky does have some health issues, like a runny nose due to irritated sinuses (maybe allergies). He’s also FIV positive, but don’t let that scare you. Cats with Feline Immunodeficiency Virus can live long, healthy lives and deserve loving homes. FIV is specific to cats and poses no risk to humans or other species. This means that FIV-positive cats can safely live in households with other pets, provided they are not aggressive. (FIV is transmitted through bites.) Casual contact, such as grooming or sharing food and water bowls, does not typically spread the virus. Just like any cat, FIV-positive cats benefit from a stress-free environment, a balanced diet, and regular veterinary care.

Rocky lives in a foster home with cats and dogs. He’s a bit of a loner but is good with the cats. He’s a little scared of the dogs but has gotten used to them. He’d likely thrive in a home as an only pet or with another cat or two. Rocky is neutered and UTD on vaccinations.

Will you be Rocky’s hero and give him a quiet, loving family who appreciates his low key, old soul personality?
