Rocky's Story

Meet Rocky! If kittens could be astronauts, Rocky would absolutely be the one leading the mission. He's named after Rocky, the brilliant, endlessly capable and lovable character from Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir, a fitting name for this fearless little explorer. From the beginning, Rocky has been the kitten who wants to know what's over there, what's up there, and whether he can climb it.

He's bold, curious, incredibly active, and always ready for the next adventure. Rocky loves wrestling with his siblings, pouncing on unsuspecting brothers and sisters, running, jumping, and especially climbing. He has zoomies to spare and is almost always the first one to investigate something new.

In fact, Rocky was the first kitten to figure out how to escape their enclosure. He tried, failed, tried again, and kept at it until he finally made it over. Before long, the others followed his lead, but Rocky remains the undisputed leader of the pack.

He's also the most outgoing of the bunch and loves being around people. After all that exploring, he's perfectly happy to curl up with his siblings for a nap.

You can recognize him by the adorable little beauty mark on his cheek. As a newborn, that mark earned him the temporary name Marilyn, but clearly, this little adventurer was always destined to be Rocky.

Rocky needs a home with plenty of room to explore, lots of play, and ideally a playful furry companion who can keep up with him and his epic zoomies. His brother Marcellus or sister Andarna would make excellent co-pilots for his next great adventure. To inquire about adopting this cat please complete an adoption application at tinyurl.com/ccapadoptions

San Antonio Feral Cat Coalition's Adoption Policy
Although our primary mission is to work on feral cat issues, we devote considerable time to adopting out TAME kittens and adult cats. In order to better manage the feral cat population, friendly cats and kittens are removed from the streets, placed with fosters, and spay/neutered before placing them up for adoption. Young kittens born to feral cats are ideally left with their mom until they are ready for weaning. They are then placed in a foster home, socialized, and spayed/neutered prior to being put up for adoption. Our rescued tame cats are all privately fostered in homes throughout the San Antonio metro area.
