ROCKET's Story

ROCKET had a home for two of his six years, but his most recent guardian moved and couldn't take him. ROCKET can be a very sweet, affectionate boy.
ROCKET will come up for pets and will rub against your legs to remind you it's his turn for attention. However, he does not want to be picked up!!! He often takes a bit of time assessing you before deciding if you are trustworthy, but once you pass muster, he rewards you with kitty kisses to your hand. If you sit next to the table, he loves being petted, but not a fan of belly rubs. If he had a big comfy chair to sit in next to his person, he would be purrfectly happy to be petted and snuggled a bit.
ROCKET is a handsome golden tiger with caramel stripes! He is ok with kids, but probably best with older kids who can tell when ROCKET needs to decompress and chill by himself. He seems to be ok with other cats, however given his trust issues and fear of new situations, he may not do well with dogs.
This poor boy has loved and lost, so he will need to be in a home that understands that he needs to feel comfortable, secure, and not pressured. It may take a bit of time for him to trust that this is his forever home, and this is the family who will love him always, and he will never again be left behind. Once that happens, ROCKET will become the loving family member he was meant to be.

DOB-05-2019 Entered Shelter-11/2023

If you would like to adopt ROCKET, Open Hours are Mondays and Wednesdays, 4:00pm to 7:00pm, Saturdays, 10:00am to 1:00pm. or call to arrange an appointment at 231-773-3030.
