Rocco is a sweet, gentle boy looking for his forever home. This handsome long hair guy is about 1 and sadly was left outside to fend for himself without regular feeding or care. Despite all this, Rocco has a kind heart. He loves belly rubs and head scratches. He purrs especially loudly when he gets a full body massage. He’s very affectionate and loves people. <br/><br/>Rocco has tested positive for FIV, also known at kitty Aids. Just like with people it is NOT contagious through casual contact. It's safe to share food, water, and litter box with a negative cat. FIV is only passed by mating or a deep bite wound, where saliva from the positive cat enters the blood stream of another kitty. This is very rare in socialized house cats. <br/><br/>FIV cats can have a shorter life span in part due to the fact that with a compromised immune system they are more prone to contracting infections. FIV positive cats must live strictly indoors to reduce the chances of contracting something dangerous. <br/><br/>It is NOT a death sentence!
