Meet River: The Sweet and Shy Feline! Hello! I'm River, a soft and sweet girl who may be a bit shy at first, but I have so much love to give once I feel safe. I need my own little hidey hole-a cozy spot where I can retreat when things get overwhelming. It helps me feel secure, and I promise I'll come out when I'm ready! I absolutely LOVE to scratch on my cat trees, so it's important to have plenty of scratching posts and cardboard scratchers around. They're my happy place! I also enjoy gentle brushing with a soft bristle brush; it feels wonderful! I have a few special needs to keep in mind. I require a low-sided litter box all to myself-I don't like to share! I'm a bit particular about my potty habits, so I prefer to perch on the sides to keep my feet clean. I have sensitivities to chicken, turkey, and peas, which means I can't have any of those in my diet. It's really important to check labels because if I eat something I shouldn't, I might get sick. I'm currently on a strict canned food-only diet to help manage my Feline IBD. I do enjoy the company of other cats and can be quite affectionate once I know I'm safe. If you have a calm home and the patience to help me come out of my shell, I would love to meet you!
