River's Story

Meet River!

River is a 2-year-old sweetheart who has already overcome so much in his young life. He is FIV+ and a proud survivor of FIP, and today he’s thriving and ready to find his forever family. River loves being involved in everything his foster family does — whether it’s following them into the kitchen, the living room, or even the laundry room. He truly enjoys being part of a home and spending time with his people.

Playtime is one of River’s favorite activities. He loves batting plastic springs and toy mice down the hallway and around the house. He’s even made friends with his foster sister dog, and the two can often be found chasing each other around in playful fun. But River’s absolute favorite pastime is cuddle time. He’s a world-class lap cat who will happily curl up on your lap or chest, purring contentedly while soaking up all the pets. Just sit down — River will take it from there.

River has a chicken allergy, so he’s on a special prescribed diet to keep him feeling his best. Thankfully, he doesn’t mind at all, especially since his foster mom discovered freeze-dried shrimp treats — his absolute favorite!
River is a loving, gentle purr machine who will be your best friend and constant companion. He’s ready to give his whole heart to a family of his own. Come meet River and see just how special he is — you might just find your perfect match.
