River's Story

Officially introducing River!

This beautiful boy has been with us since March. He was rescued by a long time supporter of HHR when he showed up on her front porch- wounded and needing immediate medical attention. River had abscessed wounds all over his head and face. With help from his veterinary team and foster mom, River made a full recovery. ?
At his very first vet visit, we learned that River had a heart murmur. He ?underwent a cardiac ultrasound and the cardiologist put him on medication. Six months later, we learned his heart was MUCH better and River was taken off his meds and cleared for adoption!!

River is about 4 years old. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, FeLV negative/FIV positive, and current on preventatives. While River may never need further cardiac care, it’s important that River’s new family is aware of his medical history.

River gets along with other cats- especially the ladies. He needs a home with cat savvy adults (we would consider a home with teens too). No small kids - he plays too hard. NO dogs.

To meet our crumpled ears hunk, visit our website and complete an application! Adoption donation $275
