Riven's Story
Meet Riven, a striking black, 1-year-old neutered male with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Riven is a special medical needs kitty who is suspected to have a rare renal tubular disorder (similar to Fanconi syndrome), which means he drinks and urinates more than the average cat and will likely need lifelong monitoring and supportive care. Despite his medical quirks, Riven remains a sweet, loving boy who still has plenty of life, affection, and companionship to give. His kidneys appear structurally normal on ultrasound, and while his condition requires an understanding adopter willing to keep an eye on his health, Riven is not currently considered to be in kidney failure. He's looking for a calm, compassionate home willing to love him exactly as he is - quirks and all.
