Ripley's Story

Ripley was once found hiding under her foster family’s car, but now this 8-year-old lady is enjoying her golden years to the fullest. She’s left the street life behind and is now accepting applications for a loving forever home.

As an older lady, Ripley enjoys the finer things in life: long naps, quiet companionship, and gourmet snacks (wet food, Churu’s, and canned fish - obviously).

Ripley is independent and doesn’t need to spend all of her time with you, but if you’re patient and earn her trust, she can be a devoted sweetheart who will curl up beside you and soak in the love. She’s been through a tough time (including an old leg injury and some dental work), but her sweet nature proves how resilient she can be if you’re willing to take the time to get to know her.

Ripley would thrive as an only pet in a calm, patient home full of cozy spots where she can enjoy her retirement in peace. She’s spayed, microchipped, litter trained, and taking introductions with the other cats and dogs in the foster home very slowly.

Looking for a classy retired lady with sass and a comeback story? Ripley is ready to meet you!

To adopt you must first complete an adoption application and meet the cat in its foster home. We do not do same day adoptions so, generally, we can only adopt within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
