Ripley's Story
Some of the best friendships take a little time.

Do you have a soft spot for quiet black cats? Then let me introduce you to Ripley, house panther extraordinaire. He's handsome, playful, and most of all, he's a sensitive soul. Ripley can be a bit shy at first, but once he decides you're his person, his powerful purr motor starts the moment you touch him, when he's sitting on your lap, or when he's been given a treat.

Ripley isn't interested in casual acquaintances. He prefers deep, meaningful connections. He'll be happy to gaze deeply into your eyes as you tell him about your day, hang out as you catch up on your favorite Netflix series together, or chase some bacon flavored bubbles around the room.

Ripley loves catnip kickers and is also quite the wrestling aficionado, often engaging in matches with his cat friends. He loves chasing after wand toys and jumping in the air to capture them. Did we mention that he's also quite the athlete?

When playtime is done, Ripley enjoys climbing into his person's lap, often next to another cat, and starting up that purr motor.

Have you ever been the shy one in a group? That's Ripley. His littermates were boisterous, confident cats. Not only did Ripley's siblings all move out within about a week, at the same time, a rambunctious puppy joined the family. Ripley lives with four large, adult dogs in his foster home, but this puppy? She is TROUBLE.

To be honest, all these changes have been a huge adjustment for Ripley. He retreats to his Bat Cave when he feels overwhelmed.

Give Ripley a little patience as he adjusts to his new home, and you'll be rewarded with a devoted companion who thinks laps, purrs, and quiet evenings together are just about perfect. A friendly, confident feline friend would help greatly with that adjustment. Of course, once Ripley is past his shyness, his main focus will be his human, but chances are you aren't quite as masterful at pro cat wrestling.

Ripley isn't a cat who gives his heart away immediately, but once he does, it's all yours.

If you're looking for a sweet companion who is equally happy listening to you talk about your hard day at work, keeping an eye on the birds outside when you're busy, or curling up beside you as you scroll TikTok, Ripley might be just the cat you need.
