Meet Riopelle

Riopelle hails from the countryside where he has been slowly transitioning to indoor life. A lovely man who took him in and got him medical care worked hard to build Riopelle's trust and show him how safe and cozy indoor life can be. Unfortunately, his guardian is moving to an assisted living facility and is heartbroken that he cannot take his precious Riopelle with him.

This gorgeous, 6-year old boy is independent with an easy going temperament. He will be shy in new surroundings and take some time to build comfort with new people. Once he trusts you he will be warm, affectionate and sit next to you, accepting long head scratches and even belly rubs. He is not quite ready to be held. Riopelle is food motivated which will be a great tool to help win him over. His new guardians will need to exercise portion control with a good quality, high protein diet to make sure he trims down and stays healthy.

He does love a good quality cat nip, which really brings out his gregarious side.

He will do well in a house where he has space to roam, levels to explore, and windows to look out and watch the world go by. Keeping him physically and mentally engaged will help ensure Riopelle lives a happy and healthy life.

Interested in making Riopelle a part of your family? Please complete our online application found at: https://actionvolunteersforanimals.com/home/adopt/adoption-form/ We will get back to you within 48 hours!

Riopelle is up to date with vaccinations, neutered, microchipped, and dewormed.

About our adoption fee:
$175 for each adult cat 1 year or older
$200 for each kitten (up to 12 months old) [on average, veterinary care for kittens costs much more]

**Please note: All kittens 6 months or younger must be adopted in pairs or go to a home with another young cat to ensure proper development and that they become well-adjusted adults. Having companionship and a playmate makes for a happier and healthier cat. Besides, it's twice the fun and half the work!
