Riley - Feisty & Fun Little "Wobbly" Russian Blue Mix Hoquiam, WA

Riley is a playful, loveable moderate wobbly (cerebellum hyperplasia) girl. CH is a non-painful, non-progressive condition that, before she was born, impacted the growth of her cerebellum, which controls motor functions.

She has adapted well to this condition. But she will always have a funny walk, splay out her back legs, have a wobbly head/body and fall down sometimes. She will not become worse and may actually improve a little as her muscles strengthen. With a few household adjustments, she will do well in your home.

Her eating habits are normal, and she uses the litter box well. She loves to play with toys and her sibling, other 'normal' kittens and friendly adult cats.

Though it is a little more work for her, she doesn't let a smooth surface floor stop her, and she can run and leap on occasion. She can climb onto a low surface. She loves being petted and is affectionate. She will always need to be an inside-only kitty.

Riley and her brother Quinn (who is a severe wobbly at this point) were born to a feral mom and had a rough start. She has another wobbly buddy, Diva, also available at this time. These kitties are loving and have never known anything but kindness from people.

Her foster mom would be happy to talk with you about her condition and how best to blend her into your home. She has videos that she would be pleased to share.

When adopted, all of our cats and kittens have been spayed/neutered and tested for FeLV/FIV. Their vaccinations are current, they have been treated for fleas and worms, they are ID chipped and they have had a wellness check by our veterinarian.

At this time, our adoption process is primarily by appointment only. However, we are ‘open’ to visitors, although you may have to wait – only one family in a cat room at a time right now. If you are considering adopting, PLEASE COMPLETE AN ADOPTION APPLICATION PRIOR TO MAKING AN APPOINTMENT. This will help to make the process easier and faster.
