Riley's Story
Riley has been in foster care for over a year. She came in morbidly obese at 22 pounds and, thanks to a prescription diet, is currently 16.3 pounds. Her goal weight is 14.5 pounds. She will most likely need prescription maintenance after that due to being overfed for so long.

Riley enjoys light playing with toys and her cat tree and scratching box. She can usually be found sleeping or watching the outside creatures from the windows.

Riley is good with respectful cats. She's untested with dogs. Due to her past, Riley will need an experienced pet parent and would do best in an adults-only home. Riley gets into any food that is out, so she will need someone who gives her zero access to any food but hers at her eating times and can tolerate her reactions (usually a swipe with claws out) if she feels she hasn't had enough. Despite her quirks, Riley is deeply affectionate in her own way!

If you're ready to take on a high-risk, high-reward lady, apply to adopt Riley today! Riley has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV.
