At a sweet 2-3 years old, he's on the hunt for a cozy home brimming with love and patience. He's got a soft spot for cats, but dogs and young kiddos aren't his cup of tea. And naps? Oh, he's a pro in the snooze department! Richard’s adoption fee is $135.00 Please complete a non-obligatory application at www.pawsandprayers.org Paws and Prayers Cats are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, FIV/FeLV tested (neg), dewormed, current on flea/tick prevention, and microchipped at the time of adoption. They are litter box trained unless otherwise noted. Please be aware we do not walk around standing & holding our shelter cats - this is unnatural to them, and we like to keep them as comfortable as possible. Please read the entire bio before emailing the foster with questions. Meet and greets are not arranged unless an adoption application is filled out and approved and are by appointment only. Resident pets of all applicants must have had routine veterinary care, be spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines per the recommendations of your vet, current on heartworm tests and prevention (dogs only). We will verify these records; giving your veterinarian permission to speak with us will help expedite the processing of your application. Should your pet have a medical issue that may prohibit any of these, please note that on your application and we will also verify this with your veterinarian. Inquiries submitted through Petfinder or other third-party websites do not submit as applications in our database.

Paws and Prayers's Adoption Policy

If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting one of our lovely animals, please fill out an adoption application at www.pawsandprayers.org and email the foster on the listing. If you are serious about adopting, you will need to fill out an application. We offer do a 2 week trial for all adoptions, if you return the dog or cat within 2 weeks we will refund all but a $50/$25 administrative fee. This is not meant to be a way to "sample" pets, it is meant to be a safety net for the dogs and cats, so they are not kept in homes because of the financial investment made.
