Rhubarb's Story

Meet Rhubarb! She is a sweet, gentle couch potato who is looking to find a cozy retirement home after spending all of her life outdoors. She is estimated to be about 8 years old.

She was rescued last year after being spotted with facial injuries, which ended up being the result of a self-injury due to discomfort, from an inner ear polyp. The polyp was surgically removed and she is fully healed, but it left her with some superficial quirks, like a permanent head tilt. Generally she gets around well but can be a touch off balance when jumping.

Rhubarb is a sweet and friendly in a quite way--- once she is comfortable, she purrs upon seeing you and she loves to approach with her tail up always ready to gratefully accept affection, She is playful and loves to entertain herself by chasing catnip toys and springs across the house. She might be able to peacefully cohabitate with another docile cat who match her energy level but she’d likely be happiest as an only cat in her forever home. She’d also be fine with older children who will respect her boundaries and give her the calmer environment craves

She is currently on a special novel protein diet to help manage skin sensitivities but adopters are encouraged to work with their vet to determine if this is a permanent necessity. Rhubarb is the sweetest, chillest companion who is long overdue for a luxurious life of leisure indoors, She is eager to meet her people at her Medford foster home.

Rhubarb has been:
Spayed
Up to date with vaccines
Combo tested negative (FIV-/FeLV-)
Microchipped

Adoption fee is $200
