Rhett's Story

Rhett is a confident and curious big guy that loves exploring - with people being another interesting thing to explore without fear. Just hours after arriving, Rhett was curled up in his foster's arms sleeping as if he finally didn't have to worry! Unfortunately, his hair was severely matted and most of it had to be shaved. However, based on his head and tail fur, you can see that he will be a majestic fluffy companion once it grows back! Rhett came to foster with a fellow big cat he had already lived with and they get along well. If you are looking for two cats, consider Rowan as they are compatible. They are not bonded. All CSHS kitties are spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, FIV/FeLV test (if not born in care), dewormed and microchipped. At the Carver Scott Humane Society, we follow an Adopter's Welcome philosophy. This means that instead of an overwhelming application process, home visits, and hoop jumping, we take a conversational approach to our adoptions. Our goal is to make adoptions possible and help you be a successful pet parent! Once an application is submitted, we take applications as "first-come, first-considered." While this does not guarantee that the first applicant will adopt the animal of their choice, it does guarantee that we will process the application all the way through before moving on to the next application in line. If you see an animal you are interested in, please apply as soon as possible! This does not obligate you to the animal in case you change your mind, but may assist in securing your place in line for that animal.
