RHEA's Story

MEET RHEA! Rhea is a gentle and sweet 2 year old girl looking for a soft place to land! Rhea was found as a stray, but very quickly showed us that her place was not outdoors, but rather inside on a blanket sprawled out and enjoying the comfort. She has a very gentle spirit, preferring to keep to herself and allow you to decide when you want to give her love. If you're busy doing something else, don’t worry! Rhea will be quietly doing her own thing, which is most likely laying around and being lazy! When you do approach her for headbutts and kisses, Rhea is beside herself with joy and will pop her head up into your hand for scratches. She is the definition of “chill” and will definitely encourage you to slow down a little and enjoy the moment. Rhea has tested well with other cats at the shelter that are as laid back as she is, as long as they aren't too pushy or confrontational. This girl is all about relaxation and peace! Rhea is up to date on vaccines, spayed, current on prevention, microchipped, and negative for FIV/FeLV. Now, she just needs someone who values a slower lifestyle and a whole lot of cat naps! Complete an adoption survey at https://cognitoforms.com/YorkCountyAnimalControl/petadoptionsurvey. All Adoptions require a Pre-Adoption Interview with a YCAS Adoption Counselor, a meet and greet, and adoption approval. Every adoptable cat is Spayed or Neutered, implanted with a microchip, current on age appropriate vaccinations including a current 1-year Rabies Vaccination, and current on monthly Flea/tick prevention. All pets are behaviorally and medically evaluated prior to being placed up for adoption. The adoption fee is $77.
