Reuben Sandwich's Story
Say hello to the tiny and bold Reuben Sandwich! He's charming and charismatic with the temerity to take on the world. He loves people and he's happy as a clam to be picked up and carried around -- he thinks that any way you hold or pet him is the right way and has even purred through baths in his foster home. He wants to be involved in whatever you're doing and his loud purr lets you know just how pleased he is to be a part of it.

Reuben is super playful, too, and seems to think that anything that's not nailed down could potentially be a toy. Thankfully he is easily entertained by cardboard boxes and crinkly packing paper, as well as any cat toy he can bat around.

Reuben was found abandoned with his presumed littermates and fellow sandwiches, Rachel and Knuckle, as well as a seemingly unrelated adult cat. He was initially in pretty rough shape; he was severely dehydrated and emaciated, weighing only half of the normal amount for a kitten his age. On top of that, he was sick with an upper respiratory infection. Fortunately he's full of piss and vinegar and had no plans to slow down. He pulled through like a champ and is doing great! As of January 2nd he weighs 3.4#.

Send us a message or fill out an adoption application if you have any questions or if you're interested in meeting Reuben Sandwich. We do have an optional adoption application to help get the conversation started, or potential adopters can also send us a message or email. After chatting with the foster home, the next step is a meet and greet so everyone can get acquainted. If the adoption is a go we'll get the paperwork signed to make it official and send the pet home with their medical records. Same day adoptions are possible but not required.

Adoption Fee: We believe in lowering the barriers to adoption; because of this, we do not require a minimum adoption fee. We do, however, rely on financial contributions. Any funds received is at the discretion of the adopter and goes toward the care of animals in our rescue
