Remy's Story

Hi, I'm Remy. I'm a 7-year-old girl with a gentle heart and a quiet spirit, looking for a patient home where I can truly feel safe. I used to live with someone who loved me very much, but when they had to move to a nursing home, I needed to find a new place to land. Since coming into care, I've been lucky to spend time with a wonderful foster who has helped us learn more about what I need to feel comfortable and confident.

I can be a little shy at first in a new home. I'll likely want a week or two to have my own quiet space where I can settle in and feel my feelings. Once I start adjusting, offering me a few tasty treats (salmon Churu, Temptations, or salmon pate are my favorites!) and a little gentle affection helps me realize you're a friend. When I trust you, my sweet side really shines - I love pets, cozy lap time, and I have the softest little purr.

I get along well with other cats and would do best in a calm, cat-friendly home where things aren't too loud or overwhelming. I'm also very tidy with my litter box and generally keep to myself while I'm settling in, waiting for my person to help me feel safe enough to come out of my shell.

I'm spayed, microchipped, and up to date on my vaccines, and I'm ready to find a forever home with someone who understands that sometimes the most special bonds take a little patience to grow. If you have a quiet home and a kind heart, I promise I'm worth the wait. Once I trust you, I'm as sweet as can be.

Animal Care Society Inc's Adoption Policy
Visit our web site at http://www.animalcaresociety.org/ Why Adopt from ACS? One of the best things about life is that it’s full of second chances! When people adopt a new family member from a shelter they are giving a pet a second chance in life! Many folks go to a breeder for a specific type of pet but those same animals can be found at the Animal Care Society! And if there isn’t such an animal at our shelter, ACS staffers are happy to refer interested parties to the RIGHT breed rescue group! The pets available at the Animal Care Society are special. Careful selection, constant socialization, diligent loving daily care and even hand raised kittens and puppies make our candidates for adoption a premium in the shelter world. While we are still a shelter, we make every effort to make a cat or dog feel at home here! It goes a long way in deferring some of the kennel fatigue experienced by shelter animals.
