Red's Story

DOB: 03/19/2024
Meet Red! Red is FIV positive and he is looking for his forever home! Don't let him being FIV + stop you from adopting this sweet boy! Did you know that FIV + kitties can live long normal lives and even with regular kitties! Get educated! We have attached a flyer to ready and there is a LOT of information online about FIV as well!
Red was found one cold morning, curled up in a garage, trying to stay warm. The owner of the home noticed that he had a wound and took him to a vet to be treated. He was of course scanned for a microchip and there wasn't one. He was posted and no one stepped forward as his owner. After he was released to the custody of the foster he was put into the program of us! The foster mom got him all fixed up and vetted! He has had his exam, fecal, deworm, microchip, rabies, combo test and neuter!
He is with us now at the Humane Society and he is the sweetest boy! He would do best in a more quiet home that gives him time to settle in and get used to his surroundings. Once you gain his trust he will be devoted to you forever! The vet says he is about 1 and a half years old. He is ready for you to come by and meet him on a Saturday! Until then if you are interested, go ahead and put in an application! Once approved we can set you up an appointment time to meet this guy! He is currently hanging out in a wonderful foster home with his buddy Sox! They are 2 peas in a pod! Perhaps if you need 2 kitties you could consider adopting them both?
Our adoption package includes:
-spay/neuter (when age appropriate)
-microchip
-full vetting (including up to date vaccinations & deworming)
-FIV/FeLV testing

Visit our website to fill out an adoption application. You can also come visit our cats & dogs on Saturdays (10-2). www.humanesocietyhoco.org

To see more of our cats & kittens, check us out on Instagram! @catsofhocohumane
