Recchi's Story

Recchi is the soon to be 6-month old (on November 10th) twin sister of Dornhoefer. She is slightly larger than her brother, but both are big for their age.

Recchi, Rex for short, is far more receptive to humans than her brother, but she seems a bit more reserved around cats than he is. Where he is open to play with them, Rex is perfectly happy watching everyone from the comfort of the hideaway box in the cat tree (as seen in the photos above). To be fair, she doesn't LOVE the idea of human interaction either, but she allows us to pick her up, cuddle her, and fawn over her beauty.

Recchi and Dornhoefer came to us from a hoarding situation, and they were bounced around a bit before they came to us, so it it reasonable for them to be unsure about us just yet. Once they find their permanent homes and know they are safe, we believe they will really start to come out of their shell a little and introduce their true selves to their new families.

They are always together, but I think that is more of a comfort zone thing then a bonded sibling thing. Dornhoefer will definitely do better in a home with other cats. We beleive Recchi will do fine with or without other cats in the home. That being said, if anyone wanted to adopt them together as a pair, we do offer discounts on adoption fees to keep siblings together.

Recchi is fixed, vaccinated, and FIV/FelV negative. She is looking for her forever home now! Apply today if interested!
