Reba's Story

When Reba first came into our care, she was barely hanging on-just over 3 pounds, with painful sores in her mouth, deep wounds on her paws, and a matted coat that had to be shaved off. But this senior girl had a spark in her, and we knew she deserved a second chance.

Months later, Reba made a stunning transformation. Her coat grew back beautifully, her mouth is now pain-free (all her teeth have been removed-but don't worry, she still loves her dry food!), and those once-wounded paws now carry her proudly as she explores her world.

Reba spent a few months in a loving home, but she let us know she's happiest in a calmer, slower-paced environment. She's now looking for a true retirement home-a peaceful place where she can relax, feel safe, and be adored just as she is.

Reba isn't a lap cat, but she's a gentle, steady presence who enjoys affection on her own terms-usually once a day, when the world is quiet and she's ready for love. She's also delightfully food-motivated and can always be coaxed out with her favorite crunchy treats.

If you have a calm home and a kind heart for a cat who's earned her golden years in peace, Reba will be your quiet companion and constant reminder of how resilience and love can bring even the most fragile spirits back to life.
