Raya's Story

Meet Raya, your one and only queen bee.
All hail Raya, a stunning calico beauty with a personality as vibrant as her coat! She joined ARF in mid-February from a shelter that needed space and after patiently waiting for her big day, she is now spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and more than ready to find her forever kingdom.

So what exactly is a calico? Calico cats have a gorgeous tri-color coat. They are typically a mix of white, black and orange. Each one is sporting a completely unique pattern. No two calicos are alike and Raya wears her colors like royalty.

Raya has made one thing very clear. She prefers to rule her domain solo. She is not a fan of other cats and would thrive as the only feline in the home, where she can soak up all the attention and truly shine as your one and only.

Trust us. She's more than enough love for one home! She's very friendly and enjoys being around people. She loves to explore and check out her surroundings and shows affection by rubbing up against you. It's her way of saying "you're mine!"

One of Raya's favorite pastimes? Being a little window watcher. Give her a cozy perch by a window. You'll earn bonus points if there's a bird feeder outside because she'll happily spend hours observing her feathered entertainment!

When she's not on patrol or soaking up affection, Raya enjoys playtime too. She's especially fond of ribbon wands, which bring out her fun, playful side.

Raya has waited patiently for her chance and now she's ready to be the center of someone's world. If you're looking for a confident, affectionate and independent companion who knows exactly what she wants, Raya is ready to reign in your home.

The shelter is open Tuesdays through Fridays 3:30-6:30pm AND Saturdays & Sundays 1pm-4pm. No appointments are needed during those times. If you are not available during those times, special arrangements for a meet and greet may be able to be arranged by emailing arfcats@bereaanimalrescue.com. Thank you for considering the adoption of a shelter animal in need!
