Ramona's Story
Ramona is a beautiful senior lady who once ruled her home like the true queen she is. Sadly, after her beloved owner passed away, Ramona found herself at the shelter—a place that feels very unfamiliar and far beneath her royal standards. Being in a cage and surrounded by all the hustle and bustle has been overwhelming for her, and she’s not shy about letting everyone know that she’d much rather be back in a cozy home where she belongs.

Because of the stress of shelter life, Ramona can sometimes be a little swatty. But really, who can blame her? She went from being the pampered ruler of her castle to living in a kennel with strangers walking by all day. What Ramona truly needs is a patient and understanding adopter who can see past her grumpy moments and give her the peaceful home she deserves.

Ramona is FIV+ and has hyperthyroidism, which is currently well managed with a simple twice-daily medication. With routine veterinary care and someone dedicated to keeping up with her medication, she can continue to live a comfortable and happy life.

Ramona would like to return to the lifestyle she knows best: being the one and only queen of the household. She’s looking for a home where she can be the only pet, soak up attention on her own terms, and spend her days relaxing like royalty.

If you have a quiet home, a soft spot for senior cats, and the patience to help a displaced queen reclaim her throne, Ramona will reward you with the quiet companionship and dignified charm only a cat like her can offer. All she needs is someone willing to welcome her back into the royal life she remembers. Fill out an application for her here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FMAS/Cat
