Rambo's Story
Rambo very much lives up to his namesake. He likes high places. Often found by himself. Unless, of course, Cheerio is nearby but that is because Cheerio seeks him out and not the other way around (she is drawn to his independent self-sufficiency LOL). He enjoys a hammock bed once in a while but is most often found hiding in the cabinet above the fridge in the rescue house. But don't let him fool you - his eyes are closed but those ears are tuned into what is going on.

It was a random Thursday morning in March and the morning crew was buzzing around the house feeding and cleaning and doing what they do. And all the sudden, there was Rambo. With a very dead mouse. In his mouth. He had appeared from thin air to save everyone, human and clueless house cat alike, from the unwelcome squeaky intruder!

So while we do not often recommend cats for employment, Rambo would most definitely fit the bill if you are in need of a barn cat. He came from an outdoor colony so he knows the mean streets. He's proven he can mouse. He will protect you indoors and out of doors, because that is just the kind of protector he is.

For those he trusts, he does eventually open up to welcoming pets on the head. Further petting is something we're still working on, but he does accept them sometimes with manly grousing. He tolerates the human presence and is definitely not a lap cat. He enjoys the company of other cats. He likes the quiet, so probably not young children or other noisy high energy animals.
