Meet Raizel

My name is Raizel and I was found in a neighborhood with my babies. A concerned family began feeding me and my babies. Once there
was space, I arrived at Cozy Cat with my kittens. My babies were all adopted together and now I’m ready for it to be my turn. I love to look out the window and lay in sun puddles. I am also a very affectionate lady and canned food is my love language!

I also tested positive for FIV also known as Feline Immunodeficiency Virus. It is also one of the most common infectious diseases among cats around the world. Cat with FIV can live very normal and long lives. The disease basically lowers and attacks the immune system. Cats that live their lives inside with FIV can live just as long as cats without FIV.

Nonaggressive FIV cats can live their lives with non FIV cats as long as there is not aggression. FIV is spread largely through sexual contact and deep bite wounds. Non aggressive behavior such as sharing water bowls, using the same litter box and grooming does not appear to be an efficient route of spreading the disease.
