Raindrop's Story

Hi! I'm Raindrop - though my humans can't seem to pick just one name. I also answer to Rain, Rainy, Spicy Kitty, and Chili Pepper.

I'm about 10 months old, a gray torbie with a coat that says "sensible" and a personality that says otherwise. My eyes are a pale green - I've been told they're my best feature, and I agree. I also have a tiny overbite that I've decided is charming rather than embarrassing. My purr is quiet, so you'll have to listen closely, but it's there.

I'm a modern, independent young lady who likes to do her own thing. I don't mind the other cats in my foster home, really. When the zoomies hit, my foster sister Cherry Breese is my favorite chase partner.

My foster brothers - human and feline - get all my best behavior. I'll ask them for pets before anyone else, and I genuinely just like having testosterone around. Think Ace from The Outsiders, but with fur.

My foster cat brother is my favorite wrestling partner - I'll start it, and I don't mind when he does either. Total tomboy energy, no complaints here. My favorite humans are an 11-year-old and an 8-year-old, and I trust them completely.

There's also a dog in the house. I could probably live with a dog just fine as long as he minds his manners, but I'm not going to pretend we're pals.

My food is my food - growl first, ask questions never. I eat kibble like a champ, but if you're offering treats, it better be real canned tuna or lactose-free milk. I have standards.

I'm not big on meowing except when I want pets or dinner, so when I do talk, it means something.

I'll let my foster mom hold me like a baby. I act like I hate it for the first few seconds, and then I remember how good the scratches feel and I melt.

I'd do great as an only cat, in a home with a well-mannered dog, or with cats who respect a girl's personal space. I'm not looking for trouble - just my own spot on the couch, my own bowl, and someone with pets to spare.

Finally, I should say that I'm FIV+ but I don't let that define me. All of my foster sibs are FIV- but that's never been an issue. They'll tell you more about that at Tenth Life if you want, though!

https://tenthlifecats.org/adopt/
