Rainbow Bridge's Story

Rest in peace in furbaby heaven...These poor babies had such a rough and sad life in the 5 short months they had on this earth. First they were dumped at an abandoned house, in a nasty part of town. There they were left, flea infested, worm infested, scared & hungry. Then they went to a foster home
2 of their siblings, Kati & Maxx, were adopted, and they waited for a forever home too.
Lucy was Miss Personality, and the big sister to the rest. She cleaned all her siblings, while she purred & rubbed against your hand.
Ivy was the tiny, scared little furbaby, who was glad to have Lucy as her big protective sister.
Liberace, the tiny, timid little brother also looked up to Lucy for guidance and safety.
Unfortunately, they were not vaccinated for distemper, and contracted it from the foster mom bringing it home on her clothes from a vet hospital. Let this be a HUGE MESSAGE: Regardless of whether you work in animal rescue, or not, make sure your animals are up to date on vaccinations, especially the baby kittens who were never vaccinated before.
Make sure you watch for symptoms and signs if your cat isn't feeling good. And most of all, if you rescue, and have people foster for you, don't assume the foster mom will make sure they're up to date with shots or exams, take the responsibility yourself. Don't wait for someone else to do it, do it yourself.
May these beautiful precious furbabies know how much they were loved in the short time they had.
Rest in peace Ivy, Liberace, and Lucy.
