Kitties thrive with a friend! We prioritize sending our kittens home in pairs. <br/><br/>Rain & Nimbus are part of The Weathered Whiskers litter. They are identical smoke tabby twin brothers. They have a pair of identical grey twin sisters, Misty and Aurora. They were born late May this year. See the rest of the litter at jackofallcats.org/adopt<br/><br/>The adoption fee for Rain or Nimbus is $650 each, which includes transportation out-of-state. This fee is higher than our standard adoption fee, and we want to share why: both kittens have a rare and striking smoke tabby coat, and as a rescue, we rely on slightly higher fees in these specialty cases to help balance the cost of care for all of our cats. Many of the kittens we take in arrive with significant health needs, and their medical expenses often exceed the standard adoption fee. Charging a bit more for unique kittens like Rain and Nimbus allows us to continue providing the highest level of veterinary care and support to every cat who comes through our doors.<br/><br/>~~~~~~~<br/><br/>~ Adopting with Jack of All Cats ~<br/><br/>At Jack of All Cats, we prioritize the perfect match over a first-come, first-served approach. We believe that every cat has their person and every person has their cat. Our dedicated team works diligently to ensure that each feline finds a home where they can thrive. By carefully pairing up matches, we aim to create happy and healthy lives for our kitties, placing them in the best-suited homes. Our adoption process is designed to prioritize compatibility, ensuring a lifelong companionship that brings joy to both our cats and their new families.<br/><br/>Prior to out-of-state adoption, all of our kitties are:<br/>Spayed/Neutered<br/>Microchipped<br/>SNAP FIV/FeLV combo tested<br/>Fully up to date on vaccines (rabies, FeLV, FVRCP (plus boosters if needed)<br/>Dewormed<br/>Current on flea & tick prevention<br/>Treated for any other health issues that are present while in our care <br/><br/>Where mandated by state law, an additional health exam may be completed by a licensed veterinarian, along with an issued Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) prior to departure. <br/><br/>Must be 19+ to apply<br/><br/>Out-of-State Process:<br/>Once your application is received and we choose to move along with the adoption process, we will conduct a home check over a video call. Please make sure that every household member is present at the time of the meeting. This is also your opportunity to “meet” the kitties virtually.<br/>The adoption contract and fee are completed prior to finalizing the adoption and arranging transportation.<br/><br/>Please note: We are not a shelter. Cats are snuggling with their foster families. Please fill out an application if you are interested in being considered as an adopter. If we are able to move forward with your adoption application, we will be in touch to schedule an appointment to visit with the kitty(ies) of your dreams! Jack of All Cats is run only by volunteers who also work other full time jobs. We do our best to respond as promptly as possible, but please be courteous and allow a week for a response. Jack of All Cats reserves the right to select homes most suitable for their kitties.
