AVAILABLE Updated 3-5-2026 Rain! She is a beautiful, female kitten who is 20 months and has been here since she was a baby. She is one of last year's kittens who didn't find a home. In her early months she was playing hard to get and hiding at times, peeking around corners, which made it difficult to get noticed. But as she grew up she decided to come out of her shell and now is the greeter at the door! She loves being petted and all the pets. And is even enoying picked up and loved for a time. She is a friendly girl following you around. She's very soft. She's spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. She gets along with other cats. C.A.R.A (Citizens for Animal Rescue and Adoption)'s Adoption Policy

Please email citizensanimalrescue@gmail.com for an application or use our online link. Once an application is approved you will be contacted to set up an appointment to visit the animals. If you let us know what you have in mind (age, gender, personality), we'll have several ready to meet. We are open to the public Monday-Saturday 1-4PM and other times by appointment. Please call 217-655-4353 or 217-799-8858 with any questions. After you've met and decided on the pet for you, you will fill out the final paperwork and you will be able to take your pet home. All adopters must be able to meet and pick up their pet as we do not offer transportation, or handle all the details for a transport and be able to pay over the phone. All pets are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations.

C.A.R.A. is a 501(c)3 non-for-profit, No Kill animal shelter and rescue for homeless, injured/neglected or surrendered animals. Through community donations we are able to provide high quality care and rehabilitation for animals in our care.
