Racoon aka Dozer's Story

Racoon originally came to us as part of a group out of Sherwood. Her sibling is Spot, whom has stayed with the rescue for medical treatment and socialization. Racoon presented as a very spicy kitty along with her brother and mom. We sent them to a barn home together so the family unit could stay intact, with the exception of Spot. About a month after the cats were placed at the barn home, Racoon showed up at a neighboring property approximately a mile away. She was underweight and it was a serious concern how or why she ended up there. Her finder decided to foster her from that day and Racoon has grown into a much more human-friendly cat. and has experienced life around dogs, other cats, and younger kids. She would thrive in a home that is quieter as she still has a skittish side to her. She doesn't love the dogs in her foster home but she is getting braver and braver with them being calm around her.Our adoption process is simple, relationship-centered, and provides supportive education. You can expect your adoption interest to go like this:
1. Submit your electronic form
2. An AEL representative will contact you to schedule a phone call or adoption counsel session.
3. Come to your adoption counsel session to meet the pet you're interested in and ready to take them home with you (dependent on the pet, some need more than one meet)
4. If the pet is determined to be a good fit with your family by both you and the AEL representative, you will sign your contract, submit your adoption payment, and take your new friend home!

Let us know you're interested here: http://tinyurl.com/AELadoptionsquad
