Quinn's Story
Quinn was rescued from a property along a busy road that had become severely overrun with sick, feral cats. He had virtually no human contact before coming to us, and to make matters worse, he was suffering from such a severe eye infection that the veterinarian had no choice but to remove one of his eyes.

Needless to say, Quinn wasn't exactly thrilled about his new life with people. But we couldn't bear the thought of sending a one-eyed cat back to fend for himself along a busy road, so we gave him the time and patience he needed to learn that he was finally safe.

And slowly but surely, Quinn is coming around.

When the shelter is quiet, Quinn will venture out for gentle pets and even show off his flirtatious side. He's discovering that people aren't so bad after all and we're getting little glimpses of the sweet boy hiding underneath that initial shyness. He's also finding his voice, and he can make sure you know exactly where he stands when it's feeding time!

Quinn is going to need a very patient and loving adopter. He's never lived in a home and has never really known what it's like to trust people, so his transition will likely take time. He may hide or be unsure of his new surroundings at first, and his adopter will need to let him set the pace. But every little bit of trust Quinn gives you will be incredibly rewarding.

One thing Quinn has never had a problem with is other cats! He loves feline companionship and will need a home with other friendly cats. Having kitty friends around helps him feel safe and comfortable.

Quinn may not be the easiest cat to adopt, but we believe he's one of the most deserving. He has already overcome so much, and we're finally seeing the sweet, affectionate cat he's capable of becoming.

We're hoping someone will be willing to open their heart-and their home-to Quinn, give him the time he needs, and show him that the rest of his life can be so much better than his beginning.
