Queenie's Story

Meet Queenie - a resilient mama ready for her own happily-ever-after.

Queenie is a 3-year-old beauty who came to us with her three little ones in tow. This sweet girl had clearly been struggling for a while... she arrived very underweight, with vomiting and diarrhea, and just didn't have the strength to keep up anymore. For her health, we separated her from her babies so she could rest and heal - and luckily, all she needed was some TLC, good food, and a round of antibiotics to get her feeling like herself again.

And now? Queenie is blossoming.

She's incredibly loving, gentle, and grateful for every bit of affection she gets. She's still skinny, but she's steadily gaining weight and her personality is shining through more every day. She adores pets, enjoys quiet companionship, and has the sweetest, softest energy.

After surviving a rough patch and raising her kids, Queenie is finally ready to be someone's cherished girl - no more struggling, just love, comfort, and a forever home.

Toledo Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
Steps to Take: Please visit the Rescue website to see all of our available animals If you see an animal you are interested in please submit an adoption application. Once we have received that application we will review it, and call you to schedule an appointment to come and meet our animals! On the application, if you do not have a veterinarian reference, please consider one you may be using. Adoption visits may or may not happen on the same day. Adoption approval may take a few days. On the Day of Adoption: If you are adopting a dog, please bring a carrier and/or leash and collar with you to pick up your pet. If you are adopting a cat, you will be required to bring a carrier. Animals are not deemed adopted until all paperwork has been processed, fees paid, and the animal is released. Adoption Fees Cover the Following: Up to date shots/vaccinations for the pet's age Deworming Heartworm test (dogs over 6 months) FIV/FeLeuk test (cats) Petlink Microchip Spay/Neuter Includes free vet exam within 2 weeks after adoption. All animals are spayed or neutered before adoption.
