Queen Charlotte's Story

Gender: Female
Colour: Bengal
Date of Birth: January 1, 2023 (estimate)

Queen Charlotte came to the rescue alongside 18 other cats who we affectionately called The Queens. They were rescued from a backyard breeder that had more than 100 cats caged for life for the purpose of breeding. These cats never saw the light of day, breathed fresh air, or knew anything other than being used for profit. These breeding females (and a few castrated males) were brought into our care and quarantined together until they were able to be placed in loving foster homes. Each cat has its own unique trauma that they have worked through in order to be ready for adoption. These Queens deserve the world they should have always had and we will ensure they have a spoiled life from here forward.

Charlotte loves to snuggle and get pets. She seems to have some separation anxiety as she loves to be around people and loved! Charlotte has a big appetite and loves food! She is still learning to play with toys but her favourite toy is a ball.

She seems to be friendly with everyone, even people she has only just met so this makes us believe that she will adjust to her new home very quickly. She has great litter box habits but would be most successful with a closed litter box. She would love to have her own cozy bed and maybe even a cat tree in her new home! We believe she would most likely do best as an only cat in a home without children.

Please note that due to years of being trapped in ammonia filled cages Charlotte may have on and off respiratory flares that can be managed with Lysine.

Location: Arthur, ON.
Adoption Fee: $275
To meet and adopt this cat, apply at the link below:
https://tinyurl.com/AARApplyNow

Arthur Animal Rescue Co-operative's Adoption Policy
Thank you for considering adopting through Arthur Animal Rescue! We are a small rescue comprised of caring foster homes throughout Center and North Wellington (Arthur, Mount Forest, Fergus, Elora and surrounding areas). If you see a cat or kitten on our site and would like to learn more about any of them please feel free to send us a message. If you would like to meet any of our adoptable pets in person, submit an adoption application and we can arrange a time for you to meet which is convenient to you and the foster home. In the event that multiple applications are received for a cat or kitten in our rescue, we will review each one and make the best decision based on fit for both the cat or kitten, and their forever family. The adoption fee includes the cost of the spay or neuter surgery as well as first vaccinations. The cats and kittens are also dewormed and receive revolution treatment whenever necessary. We also provide info on preparing for a new feline family member to help with the transition to their new homes. And offer ongoing support or advice after the adoption has taken place! If you have questions at all please feel free to contact us!
