Meet Queen Catifa
Meet Queen Catifa! This beautiful girl came to Underdog in April of 2021 as a pregnant feral. Catifa was a very protective momma who, at one point, didn't even let anyone near her babies. After her kittens were adopted, the real work/progress started on this pretty mama.
At 2-3 years old, Catifa started exploring our house and learning behaviors from our resident cats and over the next few months started learning that humans weren't so bad aferall! Her trust kept building until pretty soon we found her playing with some toys, and then a few weeks later she was letting us give her a few pets.
Each month her confidence grew until where she is now joining us in the kitchen, meowing orders, demanding dinner at all hours of the day- she's a total food junkie! She also enjoys being pet nonstop and rubbing all over our legs and will jump up on the couch to hang out. Catifa goes crazy over toys and playtime, and can be very vocal when she's carrying a toy mousie in her mouth!
Catifa still does not want to be picked up and she may never be comfortable with this. Because of this no young kids.
Otherwise she's a very affectionate kitty.

Underdog Pet Rescue of Wisconsin, Inc. cats are up to date on the following medical treatments before adoption:
Spay or Neuter
Rabies and distemper up to date (as age appropriate-kitten adopters may need to provide their adopted pets with rabies vaccine and distemper boosters if adopted before 14 weeks)
FeLV/FIV test (FeLV only for kittens under six months)
Microchip
Our adult cat adoption fee is $75. It is $100 for two adults. Our kitten adoption fee (under 5 mo) is $150. If two kittens are adopted at the same time, our adoption fee is $225 for the pair. If an adult cat is adopted with a kitten, our adoption fee is $175.
*Please note that all breeds noted are estimates or best guesses. We very rarely have information on our animals' actual breeds since they often come to the shelters we work with as strays*
