Punkin's Story

Punkin – A Resilient Sweetheart Looking for His Forever Home

Punkin is ready for his forever home, and this special boy will absolutely steal your heart. He’s a handsome young man (around 2 years old) who has overcome a tough start in life. After an earlier injury to his front right leg, Punkin had it safely removed and has been healing beautifully. He’s adjusted wonderfully and doesn’t let it slow him down one bit!

Punkin is playful, affectionate, and thrives on companionship. He especially loves playing with his foster’s 8-month-old kitty and would do best with a friendly young female cat. He does not get along with older male cats, even with slow introductions, so a home without dominant male cats would be ideal.

This sweet boy is fully litter box trained and adores belly rubs—once he trusts you, he’ll happily flop right over for them! It does take him a little time to warm up to men, but with patience and kindness, he bonds deeply (he now melts for his foster dad’s belly rubs). Punkin loves kids and does great with respectful older children (10+). When he gets excited during play, he may occasionally give an accidental scratch or nip, so he’s not recommended for homes with very young children.

Punkin has not been exposed to dogs yet, so any introductions would need to be slow and thoughtful.

He is truly adored in his foster home, and we would love nothing more than to see him spend the holidays—and many happy years to come—in a loving forever home. Punkin may be missing a leg, but he has an extra-full heart and so much love to give.

Punkin is neutered, microchipped, FVRCP vaccinated, and has tested negative for FeLV and FIV.

!!!
