Pumpkin's Story

Pumpkin has had a lifetime of adventure in her short life! It began on October 16th when the fosters came upon a FedEx truck stopped with flashers on at the intersection of two local country roads which happened to be right in front of a pumpkin stand. The driver had exited the truck and was chasing a very small kitten across the road. The fosters stopped and helped catch the kitten. The driver was in no position to take the kitten, so the fosters ended up with a very small, scared, flea-infested, sick, dirty, hungry and thirsty kitten. One eye was crusted shut, she had a snotty nose, and was nothing but skin and bones and every vertebra and every rib could be felt. The fosters brought her home where she was cleaned up, warmed up, and fed. The next day, they took her to the vet where she received life-saving medical care. The little kitten weighed in at 21.5 ounces. Of course, they named her Pumpkin.
Since that first weekend, Pumpkin has been well cared for. With the help of her fosters and United Paws, she has been treated for fleas, vaccinated, spayed and chipped. She is now in excellent health. This little sweetheart has so much love to share and is ready for her own forever family. Pumkin deserves a safe, warm, and loving home and she cannot wait to get started!
To learn more about adoption please visit unitedpaws.org.
