Pumpkin's Story

Pumpkin is a 1-year-old orange cat with a big personality and an even bigger voice. He’s quite the talker and enjoys sharing his thoughts throughout the day. Like many orange cats, Pumpkin can become overstimulated easily, so he’ll do best in a calm, predictable environment with an adopter who understands feline body language and can give him space when needed. Pumpkin prefers to be the only pet in the household. He can become reactive if he smells or sees other animals, so a home without other cats or dogs will make him happiest. He loves to observe his surroundings and will often “comment” when he feels it’s necessary. Playtime is one of his favorite activities, but it’s important to give him breaks so he doesn’t get too excited. Pumpkin is a smart, engaging companion who will thrive with a patient, cat-savvy adopter who appreciates his spirited personality and unique charm. For more information on how to adopt, please call the shelter to see if this pet is still available for adoption. Then come to the shelter for a meet and greet. We are open 10:30-6 Tuesday – Friday and 10:30 – 4 on Saturday (closed 1-2 for lunch and the last Friday of every month).
