Meet Psi - Spina Bifida (SKS)

A few weeks ago, the Trenton shelter got a call about a kitten whose mother had left her behind in someone's yard. We picked up the kitten, only about a week old, and put her with one of our nursing moms named Sigma. Shy little Sigma welcomed the new baby, who we named Psi, into her litter, as did her new siblings.

Unfortunately, baby Psi has a congenital spinal cord deformity known as Spina Bifida which has left her back end partially paralyzed. A highly qualified local Vet believes Psi can have a good quality of life if someone will manually express her urine and feces twice a day for the rest of her life. She will probably need to wear diapers as well. Due to her medical condition, Psi should not be spayed for another few months but she will available for adoption around the 2nd week of June. Adopters must sign a spay agreement.

Psi's going to need someone very special to give her the love and care she needs. If you think you fit the bill, please put in an application now to get pre-approved.
