Pretzel Twist's Story
Meet Pretzel Twist!

Pretzel came to our rescue about a year ago when she was only a few weeks old. She was found with a deformed back leg, which inspired her name. Her leg made walking incredibly difficult, so it was determined that it would need to be surgically removed. After her amputation, it was determined that she was also incontinent, likely caused by the same congenital defect, meaning she wears diapers.

After her surgery she adjusted to three-legged life quickly. While she may walk a bit differently than other cats, she can get around just as well. She loves to play and snuggle, and her favorite place to nap is in front of a sunny window. She gets along with the other cats in the rescue, and is always a great big sister to all the foster kittens that come through.

While Pretzel is incontinent, she is crate trained. At night she has "naked time" where she gets is sleep without her diaper on to help prevent diaper rash. It is important for any pet who wears a diaper to have time without it on to prevent any sores or infection from developing.

While she is a bit of extra work, Pretzel is a very sweet cat with so much love to give. Other than her incontinence she is in good physical health, is spayed, and up to date on all of her vaccines.

If you are interested in Pretzel, please reach out!
