Pot Roast's Story

Meet Pot Roast, a quiet gentle tabby with beautiful green eyes who along with many other cats were in a home, allowed to breed uncontrollably, and when the elderly owner died, no one to care for the cats. These indoor cats were forced out of the home into the outside with no shelter, food, water, etc. A terribly sad situation. Trappers were able to trap many cats and 10 of them have made their way to Second Chance.

Pot Roast is one of the shiest of the bunch. He prefers the comfort of a cubbie but he does allow pets. He is a sweet, gentle soul who needs time to trust. Because he accepts touch we know he has the potential to be a very affectionate kitty. Someone just needs to take a chance on him. He needs an adopter willing to be patient and help him build his confidence. None of us like to be afraid and that holds true for sweet Pot Roast. A pot roast has been always been a staple comfort food. Pot roast isn't exciting, nor spicy, just predictable, tender, and homey. This describes our Pot Roast perfectly. He is a cat who needs a home and once he does will give his adopter loving comfort.

Pot Roast would do well in a quieter, routine home. He would be great for a single adopter or a couple. He may not be ready for a busy household with kids just yet. He does well with other kitties.

Pot Roast has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Pot Roast has an approximate birthdate of 02/05/2023. His adoption fee is $95.

If you are interested in Pot Roast or any of the cats at Second Chance Cats of West Michigan, go to sccatswm.org/adopt to fill out an application, or stop in during open hours on Fridays from 11-2 or Saturdays and Sundays from 11-4.

Please note - we can only adopt to those who live within a one hour drive of Grand Rapids.

Thank you!
