Possum's Story

Have you ever wanted a cat who will say "good morning" to you? Then pretty Possum is the gentle yet silly companion you've been looking for!

Possum is a wonderfully sweet and independent girl who is happiest hanging out or observing you, ideally from a high place! While very curious, she's also smart and cautious, and you can see the gears in her head turning as she calculates a safe place to jump. She loves wand toys, crinkle tunnels, and watching birds from the window. She's also very chatty, and loves to greet you with a squeaky meow in the morning, when you come home, or just because she wants to say "hi!"

Possum would thrive in a calm home that limits loud, sudden noises. She equally loves chill time and play time, and could easily adapt to a home that prioritizes either. Her favorite way to show affection is just by being close by, and especially by slow blinking.

Possum is sorting out a skin allergy and feels her best when eating her prescription allergy diet and taking a daily dose of allergy medicine. If you're interested in adopting Possum, PAWS staff will be happy to clarify any questions about how to keep her feeling fabulous!

Check out @accidental.catlady on Instagram for updates about her journey! Possum is positive she can steal your heart!

If you have any questions for our adoption team, feel free to email adoptions@phillypaws.org or call 215-238-9901 ext. 30.
