Possum's Story

Little Possum is looking for a patient, experienced adopter ready to continue showing him how awesome inside life can be!

Possum is a watcher and a mighty hunter. He is always on the prowl for a toy when he thinks you're not looking. When you spot him, he will run to find his special cozy spot.

Possum will need time and patient socialization to come out of his shell. If he hisses, he may swat and occasionally bite. After 3 weeks in his foster home, he allowed petting, found he loves to be petted on his head and back, and had his first purr - well done Possum! His fur is the softest! When he gets really comfy with being petted, he will roll over like he wants his belly rubbed - this is a trap - no belly rubs here!!

Possum loves any toy, but especially ones that provide space from the human he's playing with like laser lights, wand toys, and other battery operated toys that run without human interference. He loves a cozy spot to sleep and snuggle, and feels safest in a covered bed.

Possum will need an experienced cat parent, who will continue his socialization and can read his cues. Possum does bite occasionally. He always warns first with a hiss and sometimes will give a gentle warning bite. He gets along with his siblings, but unsure how he would do with other cats or dogs.
