Portia's Story

Portia’s story is heartbreaking. <br/><br/>She was trapped for a TNR clinic after being mistaken for feral — filthy, starving, and silently suffering. Once sedated, the vets discovered her mouth was in catastrophic condition… so severe she was nearly euthanized on the spot.<br/><br/>We chose to save her.<br/><br/>Portia has since undergone major oral surgery to remove all her rotted teeth, and the vet said she was one of the worst cases he’s seen in his career. But through it all, Portia has shown nothing but sweetness. She LOVES gentle pets, soft beds, cozy laps and canned food. She’s only about 4–5 years old and finally out of pain. She is past the kitten phase and really just wants to sit on a couch or bed and give love and affection to her human.<br/><br/>But now we’re facing a new emergency:<br/><br/>Portia cannot live with other cats or dogs.<br/>She’s petrified, of them, and being confined to a small foster bedroom is causing her a lot of stress. She desperately needs a quiet, loving, cat-free home where she can finally heal and feel safe.<br/><br/>Please — if you’ve ever thought about adopting, now is the moment.
