Porter (formerly Portia)

When "Portia" was taken to be spayed, we got a big surprise! He is a neutered male cat, marked as "fixed" because of the ear-tip--both features somehow overlooked, probably because of the concern for his infected foot, which is now healed.<br/><br/>Porter is one of many free-roaming cats in a in a semi-rural area of Nelson county. Unlike many of the feral cats that live in nearby barns, Porter is very friendly and must have had a home at some time. Though he's a very vocal, "talkative" kitty, he hasn't given us a clue as to where he came from.<br/><br/>Fortunately, he found a porch where a kind person put out food for passing cats, and he became a regular visitor. He even got a trip to a vet when her foot became infected. He is good with other cats and with cat-friendly dogs.<br/><br/>Porter wants desperately to be a house cat, but this house already has an indoor cat, so he is seeking a new, permanent home.
