Pork Chop's Story

Meet Pork Chop, a cute as a button brown tabby along with many other cats were in a home, allowed to breed uncontrollably, and when the elderly owner died, no one to care for the cats. These indoor cats were forced out of the home into the outside with no shelter, food, water, etc. A terribly sad situation. Trappers were able to trap many cats and 10 of them have made their way to Second Chance.

Sweet, sweet Pork Chop came from a world of chaos and is now learning what it means to live somewhere predictable, loving, caring, and where he doesn't have to worry about his next food source. Pork Chop likes pets and attempts to lean in for more. Pork Chop has a ton of potential and all he needs is the right adopter to see what a gem he is. He truly is a sweet, sweet boy.

We don't have a cat by the name of Applesauce but pork Chop will still make a great pair with a single adopter, a couple, or with a family with older respectful kids allowing Pork Chop to acclimate at his own pace. He truly is a gentle, demure soul. He gets along well with his roommates so could easily become part of a multi-cat household.

Pork Chop has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Pork Chop has an approximate birthdate of 05/29/2024. His adoption fee is $95.

If you are interested in Pork Chop any of the cats at Second Chance Cats of West Michigan, go to sccatswm.org/adopt to fill out an application, or stop in during open hours on Fridays from 11-2 or Saturdays and Sundays from 11-4.

Please note - we can only adopt to those who live within a one hour drive of Grand Rapids.

Thank you!
