Pork Chop's Story
Sweet Pork Chop is hoping someone out there will give him a second chance. This handsome boy was adopted from TAILS as a kitten and spent five years in a home before life took an unexpected turn. As the family grew and additional pets were introduced, the environment became overwhelming for Pork Chop. He struggled with sharing his space, and his family ultimately made the difficult decision to return him to the rescue.

Now, Pork Chop is feeling scared and unsure of his new surroundings. He spends much of his day hiding under his pillow, trying to feel safe in a world that has suddenly changed. Despite his fear, he has shown just how gentle he can be. When volunteers clean his space, Pork Chop remains calm and allows them to care for him without swatting or hissing. Beneath that frightened exterior is a boy who deserves the chance to feel secure again.

Pork Chop would do best with an experienced cat owner who understands that building trust takes time. He needs a quiet, peaceful home where he can decompress at his own pace, have a space to call his own, and learn that he is safe and loved. He would likely be happiest as the only pet, where he doesn't have to worry about sharing his territory with other animals.

Pork Chop is also carrying a few extra pounds, so his future family will need to help him work toward a healthier weight through appropriate portions, play, and a vet-guided weight-loss plan.

This boy has already known the comfort of a home, and we desperately want him to experience that security again. He doesn't need someone to fix everything overnight. He just needs someone willing to be patient, give him space, and show him that he's worth waiting for.

Could you be Pork Chop's angel? Please consider opening your heart and home to this frightened boy. With time, compassion, and a quiet place to land, we hope Pork Chop can finally relax, feel safe, and begin his next chapter surrounded by love.

Pork Chop's adoption fee has been sponsored!
