Porchetta's Story
A former outdoor young mother, now spayed and ready to focus on herself and her future with you!

Porchetta is a friendly girl with big ol' eyes and a personality to match! She's HIGHLY food motivated, nuzzling, purring, and mewing at you before her food can even touch the dish. Playtime is a blast if you include some treat rewards for a 'hunting' job well done. While she loves attention, she's still a very independent lady. She's more likely to head to her own spot after a day full of playtime, pets, and food, than plopping on your lap.

When it comes to maintenance, Porchetta shines. Her confidence makes vet visits a breeze, popping out of her carrier and making herself at home next to the computer, demanding pets while staff try to type (I've brought treats, but they haven't been needed!). Nail care is done by plopping her into your lap, and cutting her nails while she purrs, unconcerned. There are only a few instances where I've seen Porchetta stressed; during thunderstorms, brooms, and being around male cats. You'll never see her during a storm; she is able to find the smallest and darkest spot to feel safe (even her kittens would be looking for her!). Brooms would send her running, but being around them more as we clean has helped this fear. Finally, male cats. We have two neutered-since-kittenhood boys that she is very annoyed by (they live separately)! Could be from her short stint of living outside, or because she had kittens and then was swooped into a home with strange cats. She did great living with her 4 kittens, so there is always hope that a slower introduction may lead to better results.

Adoption fee is $100. All of our cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, given age-appropriate vaccines, dewormed and kept up to date on flea prevention.

If you’re interested in adopting, please apply here: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/CMR/Cat
